SYNOPSIS TOME I
While travelling to Venice with Cassandra to celebrate their five years of love, nothing can reassure Thomas, a computer scientist without history: his quiet little life will never be the same again. Something is brewing, he is sure of it. And for good reason… Le Masque du Voyageur has set its sights on him and intends to remind him of his destiny. He is the descendant of Valantar the traveller and he must save the Lands, a confusing and chaotic world where magic reigns. To survive, he will have to believe in his chances and bring out the warrior inside him. Will his love be powerful enough to make him triumph over his doubts? Will it fulfil the destiny dictated by the mask or will it succumb to the sirens of chaos?
"Le Masque du Voyageur", a book halfway between science fiction and heroic fantasy.

THE BIRTH
Between Supernatural and Reality ...
“Le masque du Voyageur" was born in Venice, walking the alleys of this fascinating city. The mask was there, holding out my arms, inviting me to write his story. His disturbing grin, his apparent kindness were already inspiring. I was going to make it an artifact on the border between good and bad, capricious, sometimes Machiavellian.
I took it in my luggage and back to Paris, began writing the book. The fantasy medieval universe that rocked my youth was role-playing and more precisely the development of scenarios. I thought that this experience represented a return to the sources, allowing me to express my imagination in a society a little too constrained for my taste. Even austere. I was hoping to introduce a piece of dream, to create a world where magic would break the shackles of possibilities.
This is the underlying idea of the novel: Thomas, the frail earthling, prisoner of his destiny, must shake up his certainties, go beyond his limits in order to be able to find his own. Like the one who writes his story. "
Volume 2 has just been published. It is intended to be less linear, while retaining the magic of the first part. We find there Thomas, Assen the magician, Kérado "the mystical warrior" and of course Granit, the last stone man ... Other characters make their appearance, but I say no more ... Of course, Madragore is never far away ...
I thank those who support me and allow me to continue this magnificent adventure.
BIOGRAPHIE DE L'AUTEUR
Aged 46, I live in Taverny in the Val-d'Oise. After studying at the university (Cergy-Pontoise) rather focused on mathematics and economics, I joined the world of finance. Today I work as a trader within a credit institution. It’s an exciting, demanding job, but one that doesn’t always leave room for imagination. This is where the passion for writing comes in ...
My youth was rocked by role-playing (Dungeons and Dragons, Stormbringer). Thus, the writing of the "Mask of the Traveller" represents a return to the sources, even if the process of writing a book differs profoundly from that of a script. Authors like Jules Verne, J. R. R. Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, David Gemmel, to name a few, have been a constant source of inspiration. It should not be forgotten that an author remains above all a reader. At least, in my conception.
In the "Mask of the Traveller", I take up the fantastic medieval code by adding a few contributions which seem interesting to me. If the reader is likely to meet colourful heroes, quickly dive into the supernatural, sometimes even "Darkness", meet some "Legends" with a sharp sword, Demon Knights with scathing irony, he will find himself also at the crossroads of the worlds.
